The raised flooring covers 1100m2 of the new building, which will house local Meredian Energy staff members who move in this April. As the local supplier and installer of internationally recognized Netfloor Raised Flooring Systems, Focus Construction was brought into the project to transform the floor of the office into a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing cable management system.
The system laid at Meredian accommodates nearly 50 of the new Netfloor floor boxes, designed in conjunction with Focus Interiors for New Zealand-specific applications. These new versions are all steel with simple knock outs, making them easy for electricians to use, and fit seamlessly into a variety of applications including chased into concrete or timber floors. The lid is stainless steel with a cable access hatch and is generally infilled with matching carpet tile.
As well as hiding data and power cables away from view, the clever system is renowned for how quickly it can be laid down and how easily it can be reconfigured to accomodate any repositioning of workstations.
The ECO Series product used fits in well with Meredian's environmental credentials, with the main panels being made from recycled material and also 100% recyclable. The system has been awarded the ECO Mark in Japan – an independently assessed standard for environmentally friendly products.
